The article makes it sound like only a few states fail to criminalize openly carried firearms. Please contact any friends or family you have in Ct and ask them to fight this police effort in the legislature.

I thought the police were supposed to be pro-gun, and pro-citizen carry? What happened, here?

I think its bull that all these judges, DA and LEO are trying to come up with some trumped up misdemeanor charge and convict them for a citizen that is carrying within accordance to the laws and rights of their state. Not just CT. Makes you sick. This is nothing more than a usurpation of their state rights.

Thank goodness our LEO in Georgia have not tried such a ridiculous usurpation of rights, yet. We do however see it popping up in more states. Especially, as we get more liberal D.A.'s and judges. It all starts with the LEO's, though. We have to have them on our side to exercise our rights without intimidation or coercion.

And like most of their plans, It will neither "increase public safety", nor will it be cost free - let's start with fines and/or jail time for perfectly innocent people, court costs and lawyers fees.

But hey, the outcome will be what the liberals are really after.
Something they have been working on for generations - training people
to be unable to make any value judgement.
Dictatorial creeps find it much easier to carry out their nefarious schemes when most people cannot
    tell right from wrong.

I don't understand how states like CT keep any population at all without guarding their borders to prevent mass exodus. I've been there recently and I can't imagine why any sane person would stay. New Hampshire and Vermont should insist all new maps show them south of the MasonDixon line to avoid the stigma of having common borders with the socialist paradises they are located among now.

So, was state Rep. Kim Fawcett talking about how open carriers of firearms help deter crime and thereby increase public safety? If so, I say right on!

Oh, but she's a Democrat. She probably meant something else.

Huh? What is this? Are they thinking of the states that require a permit to open carry?
