I have 35 numbers of pi memorized after the decimal point. That close enough?

Memorized it as a teenager and still recall it decades later.

I only go to 10. I figure if anything has a number going to 10 is far enough.

Anything requiring pi precision more than 5 digits right of the decimal is way past my budget.

Well, if you are measuring your backyard pool that may work.
If you are dealing with things the size of planet Earth,

the dfference between multiplying the square of the radius by 3.14159 (five digits past decimal) versus multiplying it by 3.1415926535 (ten digits past decimal),

equals a 40 square mile discrepancy for surface area.
