Hi, I don't know if I am posting in the wrong area, but I want to know if it is legal to ship and own a .177 caliber pellet rifle in Atlanta, Georgia. I have read info on this website and others and I'm still not sure. I'm shipping my old pellet rifle to someone in Atlanta from California. Is it legal and does that person need to get a permit? Thanks in advance.

Since you don't need a permit to own or buy a firearm in GA, I would imagine that a pellet gun would be no more restricted. I don't know what you would have to deal with regarding interstate shipping and transfer, but I would imagine that it's a no big deal.

    Thank you

Thanks for the reply, just needed to make sure because I didnt want to get in any trouble. But I'm a bit shocked that you don't need a permit or license for a firearm there. I love guns, used too compete in shooting compitions in JROTC, but I'm too young to get a real gun, kinda sucks.

I wonder if they call their own state the PRK?
