Can anyone here repair a parking brake on a Lincoln Towncar? It may not be "broken", just slipped somewhere.

I'm in Gwinnett. Please give me an estimate if you want to make a little money. Thanks

Have you done any diagnostics on it? What year? Does it brake fine while driving but the parking brake slips or does the parking brake seem to do nothing at all?

It just goes to the floor and back as if the cable isn't there, doing nothing. It drives fine - it's not partially engaged.

Have you looked under neath to see if you see the cable hanging?

Nothing appears to be hanging. Maybe one end is just broke off, held in by something?

That's one of the easiest cars to work on - if it's like other full size Fords, the main cable splits into two at a coupling. The coupling could be gone due to excess slack or one of the cables simply broken. Finding the cable path and the source of the problem, if it's not in the drum are (assuming rear drum) should be a simple visual and easy repair with basic tools. I'm nowhere near Gwinnett or would help you out. You may find a schematic of the pathway and parts online as well.
