Palmetto Arms model BH.15A1. Cal 223 - 5.56. Anyone hear of this brand. I have one with a 4 digit serial number. Any idea of the value.
I found out that the receiver was made by Olympic Arms cut from aluminum bar stock between 3/14/79 and 6/4/82. So that means its a preban.
Also Means It probably also means that the receiver will accept M-16 parts, including the infamous "drop-in auto sear" that was legally declared to be a machinegun part in November of 1981. This feature appears to be very important to some collectors, although I can't understand WHY, since no machinegun built after May 1986 can ever be legally registered by or transferred to an individual citizen (non-Class 3 dealer). But anyhow, your firearm may have extra value because it is a very close decendant of the M16.
