No, I'm reasonably sure a shot of 1800 yards or more won't be called on too often, but disabling an engine block or defeating a concret wall IS a reasonable expectation.

Everyone should own a fifty. I want a m82a1 and when I can afford it I'll open carry it.

GSB hit it. Knocking out an engine block, punching through a wall or other similiar situations are what the use would be for here. Not long distance head shots on the bubba. Loosen the tinfoil.

It's clear you don't like kwikrnu and his dedication to OC that surpasses even people on this forum, but do you have to post personal attacks every time he posts? It doesn't add to the discussion. I know they're Benelli's but doesn't it seem like they're getting ripped off for that price? If I were a citizen of Orlando i would say, why not go buy some Mossberg 500's for a couple hundred dollars and save us some money.

I don't think it's too outlandish. Not only could you take out an engine block or shoot through a concrete barrier to eliminate a threat. You could also take out a boat.

The expert witness for the State in my civil rights lawsuit says an AK pistol can take out a target at a mile away. So, I agree they wouldn't need a "fifty" to do "long distance head shots on the bubba". It took a deep breath of cool Tennesee air to type that.

Effective range for an AK-47 is roughly 350m, probably shorter with the Pistol variant Although, if the tip is painted orange then the max range for stupidity is endless.

I agree this is for barrier penetration, engine blocks, etc.

There are much better rounds for mile long "head shots" (I had a good chuckle when I read that). At 1600m, you aren't taking "head shots" - somebody needs to quit playing video games 24/7.
