"However, "Now our families have to worry about that trip to the corner store."

Smith said his life has changed "drastically" since the incident.

Before, he never carried an off-duty weapon. Now he does. He never wanted his three children to be around guns; now his wife has a gun permit. "

All officers off duty and their significant others should carry! With all the nonsense they see and the wonderful justice system, these people need to carry. Just an example of why they should. I am guessing he wasnt carrying during the incident and if he had what the outcome may have been.

Depends on which schools he went to.

I'm a graduate of the Gainesville city system, and they didn't suck when I was there. That's changed for the worse ever since the city annexed the Mexican projects around New Holland and on the westside and built two new elementary schools, but they're still far better than the county system.
