    This law prevents the carry of center-fire firearms while bow hunting (during bow season). This needs to be changed. I believe a similar law was recently changed in Michigan.

    While I understand the reasoning (it is easier to catch guns than poachers), I believe this law deprives people of the best means of self defense while bow hunting, possibly way in the woods away from any assistance.

    The Wisconsin hunter murders come to mind . . .

    I saw Rambo . A guy and his bow can take on a company of NVA with AK47s, so whats the problem? A mugger and his pistol?

    Over at packing somebody posted that they recently changed a similar law in Virginia.
