Just saw it flash up on the screen. I'll find a news article explaining exactly what is Unconstitutional. I believe it was the mandate to force all individual Americans to have healthcare.

Way to go Judge Hudson! Judge Hudson is a Federal Judge. :righton:

This fight is definitely going to have to make it to the Supreme Court with many different judges ruling differently on the law.

I can hear the libs now.......

That judge must be a racist.......surely he didn't judge this case on it's merits.

God bless him!!!! Great first step in the right direction.

I'm watching the Atty General of VA right now, and he must be a Libertarian. He just gave one of the best speeches I have heard in a long time.

Its great to see people like this in office at the state level. This is great!

Different circuits are going to have very different opinions on this one. So I can see it in SCOTUS fairly soon.

Cool. Does that mean I can stop paying into Social Security, Medicare, and Workman's Comp Insurance too?

I believe that Social Security and Medicare should be optional and the government should not force you to contribute. After all, I can make a lot more money for my retirement with managing the same dollars that I waste on Social Security every pay check, and make a much better return on investment.

I know, I know, my dollars are not going to MY retirement, they are going to pay for some person withdrawing benefits right now, but let's be honest, in business we call this a PONZI scheme, and I find it humorous that Madoff goes to jail for this, while our government gets to do this to their heart's desire.

Its messed up, and it needs to end. The government should not force me to give to Social Security. There are plenty of other investments that I can do much better with me managing my money for retirement.

We don't need to the government to be our Nanny and tell us what to do, especially considering its MY MONEY!

They need to go ahead and start to raise the retirement age for young people, that's a first great start. They also need to start to reduce planned future benefits for younger people as well. We must first ween ourselves off of Social Security, and then once we start to do that, we can do away with it in its entirety. If the government really wanted people to invest for their retirement, instead of creating a giant PONZI slush fund for themselves, they would set up individual accounts for each one of us that we could put our own money into and manage. You notice they don't do that, though. That's because this really has nothing to do with that. Its all about big Nanny government is going to take care of you when you get older, so you don't have to waste one of your braincells thinking how you could invest your own money.

I'm not a big fan of of the Socialist, Big Government, Nanny State as you can tell.

The same SCOTUS that said homemade marijuana for home use was somehow interstate commerce (Raich)? This does not give me a lot of confidence . . .

For whatever reason the SCOTUS has always had to include a little * by their Constitutional reasoning when it comes to anything to do with drugs.

    This is great news! :woohoo:

All that mealy mouth Robert Gibbs could say was that two other judges were on their side. Bah! It ain't the numbers that count, it's how high those judges are. When it gets to the Supreme Court, all we need are 5!

Well, its 42 pages and an interesting read
    http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/Virginia_ACA_Order.pdf

I do like the fact that he basically says in no way can this be construed as a commerce.
He also says no injunction, since it doesnt take affect until 2014 there is no need.

Basically, this is a good step, but none of this matters until a Supreme Court decision and I am not so sure they will find in the people's favor on this one. The White House and press keep comparing this to auto insurance being mandated. But they fail to menation that auto insurance is mandated by each state individually (and some only recently).
I think the High Court will find along the general vein that we mandate other things, what's one more.

    Just my two cents.

Actually, I believe what the court said was that forcing non-particpants to particpate in economic transactions was the unconstiitutional part. Fine difference.
