http://blogs.ajc.com/jay-bookman-blog/2 ... okman_blogObama’s poll numbers on the rise, to opponents’ dismay
The last 10 national polls conducted on the question show marked improvement. CNN puts him at 53 percent favorable, 45 percent unfavorable, compared to 48/48 a month ago. Washington Post/ABC puts him at 54/43, compared to 49/47 a month ago. Gallup’s daily tracking poll puts him at 49/43, which is about where he was in May. McClatchy has it at 48/43, compared to 43/50 in early December.
Obama's poll numbers are up, just as Clinton's did after the Republicans took back some of the Congress, and especially after the OKC bombing.
It appears the way he handled the Gifford shooting and brought the country back together with his speech, (It was a good speech by the way) and the fact that the Republicans now have the House, HAS boosted Obama's poll numbers. If this continues to happen, I don't see any reason why Obama may not be re-elected. If the Republicans do not get their act together and put a candidate that is worth a darn up against Obama, we may see him as president in 2012.
I have feared this for a while now, and warned about it, but seeing Obama's poll numbers rise after the shooting, and after the Republican win are just confirmation. The Republicans need to get their act together. We do NOT want to see another Obama presidency for 4 years. I don't even want to know what 4 more years of his administration would look like to our foreign policy and even Socialist moves and laws passed within our country. I just feel he is slightly too radical for the moderation of the America people.
I really hope the Republicans get their act together, and I'm not talking about putting up another dead elephant, RINO up against Obama in 2012.
