    NYPD Degroom Wedding Day

"I still don't want to believe it, a beautiful day like this, and he was going to have a beautiful wedding, he was going to live forever with his wife and children. And this happened," Porter said.

The Rev. Al Sharpton said family members told him that there were no guns in the young men's car and "there was no reason for the police to shoot."

    "We're not anti-police ... we're anti-police brutality," Sharpton said.

If it's true there wasn't any guns in the grooms car, this is sad.

Not enough details at this point to determine if this was a good shoot or not. Even if someone doesn't have a gun they can constitute a threat that deserves lethal force.

That said, it does sound a little fishy.

Apparently, the police fired 50 rounds at the car with one officer accounting for 31 of them! The cops were working undercover at the club looking for drugs, guns, etc. The groom was driving away and struck one of the cops and the cops' van. The cops responded...

Not enough info to form an opinion yet, but right now, it doesn't seem to reflect well on the NYPD. No matter the eventual outcome, it's a sad situation.
