Well, he didn't think his weapon was that nutty

A 26-year-old Waukesha man recently let his holiday spirit bleed over into his choice of weaponry.

Police had just served a subpoena to the man at 3:22 p.m. Oct. 27 while he was in Municipal Lot #3, 930 Clinton St.

The man, who was uncooperative and acting strangely, agreed to a pat-down search, and police found him to be in possession of a nutcracker.

He told them he carried the nutcracker for protection.

The man was cited for carrying a concealed weapon.

Um, if he would have just said it was for cracking nuts instead of protection, would he have got the charge.

For that matter was that supposed to be a joke the police took the wrong way?
