Utah detective who dragged nurse fired from paramedic job

The Salt Lake City detective who handcuffed and dragged a Utah nurse who refused to take blood from an unconscious patient has been fired from his part-time paramedic job.
Gold Cross Ambulance, an emergency response service, announced Tuesday that Payne has been fired “effective immediately,†Fox 13 Salt Lake City reported.
In a statement, Gold Cross said while Payne was not working for the ambulance company during the incident, the company takes “his inappropriate remarks regarding patient transports seriously.â€

I have to admit that its possible that neither knew they were incorrect. Small chance but possible.iirc, Payne's supervisor was lying to Wubbels about "the law" while she was handcuffed in the police car. Did they both get suspended?

Police documents show a Utah officer caught on video dragging a nurse from a hospital and putting her in handcuffs had previously been reprimanded for sexually harassing a female co-worker.
The records say Salt Lake City police internal affairs confirmed allegations that Detective Jeff Payne harassed a department employee in a "severe and persistent" way in 2013.
