14 year olds in Montana can open carry without a permit. Haven't heard of a rash of problems there. Of course, the percentage of law-abiding youngsters there is probably greater than that in Georgia, particularly Atlanta. Still, I'm game for it. Let them carry for their protection, and hold them severely responsible if they abuse it. It's just the libertarian in this conservative right-winger.
