Only Georgia residents can obtain a GFL? I understand the point that we don't want yankees back here with guns :D Seriously, I was surprised at this. Is a FL non-resident CCW recognized? Thanks all!

    There is not no non-resident . . .

    There ain't no non . . .

    Ah . . .

Once you become a resident, your Florida license will no longer be good, and you will need a Georgia license.

But that FL license is only good if you are not a resident of GA. If you become a Georgia resident, you *have* to get a GFL to be legal.

There is another thread about residency, but I'm just too lazy and sorry  to look it up right now.

Certain members of the military who are stationed in Georgia but do not become residents of Georgia are allowed to get the GFL.
