I managed to bring enough money home from Vegas to pick up the newest member of my family.

It's an Armscor (The same company that makes Rock Island 1911's)1911A1 in 9mm. From what have read on the 1911 forums and talking to the Armscor reps there, they are rare in the US. It has factory Novak target sights, stainless guide rod, and skeletonized trigger and hammer. It came with one 18 round mag, I'll have to get extras from the Armscor rep. It has a great feel and balance to it. I can't wait to take it the range and run some rounds through it.

I believe Armscor markets their 1911s in the USA as Rock Island Armory, not Rock River. Anywho, I'm looking to get the RIA 1911 or the Springfield loaded .45ACP soon. I've heard the RIA 1911 .45ACPs are solid pistols. Let us know how she does!

But, why 9mm?

I fixed it. I was looking at a Rock River AR and typed the wrong one. I like the idea of my 1911, my M&P, my Hi-Point carbine and my wifes XD sharing the same ammo. It's also more affordable than .45 to shoot. It's also kinda cool that the 9mm Armscors are rare.
