So I dropped by TC Outdoors in Statesboro this afternoon and they made me buy two guns, darn them! Was only looking for the Uberti 1873 Cattleman for dad but then this S&W M&P 15 with MOE hardware and PMAG was looking sorta lonely on the rack also. The Uberti was tagged at 375 got it for 359. The AR was tagged at 1100 and got it for 1000. Too bad I am going to Atlanta this weekend and won't get to play with it until next week at the earliest.

That M&P 15 is sweet! Love the desert tan on it.

Both very fun guns in their own right. What's the cattleman chambered for?

Dad and I went back and forth on .357 vs 45LC. Finally decided the practical thing to do was get .357 so he could shoot .38s as well for practice. He is considering trying out the CAS thing. He is a big time cowboy fan and I am so very happy I was able to get this for him. He has been smiling from ear to ear all day, reading the manual and fondling it.
