Granted, perhaps it was a carbine and the victim does not know the difference between that and a rifle. But whatever. This is a matter of yards off campus, too.

Off Campus Armed Robbery
Incident Date/Time: April 23, 2017, at approximately 10:20 p.m.

Incident Location: Centennial Park North Townhomes near North Avenue Apartments

Incident Description: Two students were walking north on Centennial Olympic Park Drive towards North Avenue. As they approached the gated entry to Centennial Park North Townhomes, the students were approached by three suspects. One of the suspects pointed a rifle and demanded the students’ property. The students complied, and the suspects were last seen headed south on Centennial Olympic Park Drive towards Merritts Avenue. There were no injuries reported.

Descriptions of Suspects:

Suspect One:
Male
6’2â€
Black hooded sweatshirt
Black pants
Armed with rifle

Suspects Two and Three:
Male
5’10â€-6’2â€

Status of Investigation: This incident is being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department. Report any information regarding this and other criminal incidents to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).

Odd that they could not identify the suspects beyond sex and height. No race, weight, age . . .

That is always a tip off as to race. Especially true when a picture is available but not shown.

But they get a pass on the "sex". Who can tell anymore given the dozens of categories ? And reporting it wrong comes with punishment.
