Antennae certainly appear firm and jointed. Probably no cricket DNA in it.

Ok...so it only has six legs...got it

Antennae are firm and jointed...got it

So basically, what you're telling me is that it IS in fact an alien mutated killer spider-cricket. Got it. Thanks.

Y'all think it's a bug, but it looks like an escaped convict from an alien prison ship.

Head, thorax, abdomen.
Note the markings.

I'm going with the Ambassador from Altair -9.

Trying offering it a succulent piece of leaf and see what it does.

No, its probably alien, probably mutated and certainly not spider-cricket. More likely some genetically modified small creature from outer space who crawls in peoples ears and takes over their brains to let them be controlled by the hive mind.

They can easily kill you on command by destroying your brain so the assassin assessment above is fair and reasonable.

My best assessment overall. I could be wrong and this time I probably am.
