You have to sign up, and they want your full address and phone number. I can understand why they need my address (so I can join my neighborhood) but they don't need my apartment number for this, and they sure as hell don't need my phone number.

    Not gonna happen.

I ran across the link from Wikipedia while I was reading around trying to find a specific topic for my Sociology (read: Socialism) essay that is due in a week. I have to use the sociological perspective, as well as the individualist perspective, to analyze a social problem. That's definitely one final I'm looking forward to, marking an end to that nonsense.

Whoa whoa whoa. I never said to sign up. Besides, you could just make up an apartment number (put 00 or something). How can they distinguish an apartment complex address from a house address, anyway?

Interesting concept, but when I moved into my new house I just knocked on the neighbor's door and introduced myself. When the house beside her sold and that occupant was moving in I walked over helped him unload his washer/dryer.

Who needs a website to be in contact with your neighbor?

Study of human interaction = form of government proposed by Karl Marx? Man, school these days must be really interesting!

Yes, schools are there to indoctrinate the students. Only one thing is appropriate here.

Yea. Teacher even praises Marx' contributions (no ****). It isn't personal responsibility..it's everyone else's fault. The professor even read a news article at the beginning of one class and came to the conclusion that tax cuts only benefit the rich. (Rich get richer, poor get poorer, or some bull.) I just did  :shakehead:

That isn't a bad idea. I just wouldn't want to rely on that as my only means of protecting personal property, etc.
