I think I'm old enough for a Harley now .... been thinking about it for a while. Taking a 4 corner tour of the US ... ((sighs)) someday

Triumphs used to be so simple and nimble way back when. But the Japanese technology killed them.

Atlsrt44, that looks like a really fast and fun motorcycle.

As for myself, I've never owned a street bike. Just dirt bikes and enduro / hybrid models.

One day I'd like to get a mid-1980s Honda Rebel. I remember seeing their TV ads and print ads in mainstream magazines, not just automotive magazines.

How "old" is that? The wife and I toured on a FZ1 for several years and about 30k miles. I really wish I had discovered the joy of touring bikes in my 30s instead of waiting till my 40s.

I'll bet it would be a blast. Just roll on the throttle and pull ahead with no down shifts. Icould see a short rear tire life on these. Getting ready for spring. Not much riding for me lately with the weather.
Tore it down last sun and removed the wheel. Lots of stuff to take off. My tire is done. IMG_05221.jpg IMG_05231.jpg

The tire is cupped and noisy in curves. There is also a deep crack or cut. IMG_05211.jpg IMG_05191.jpg

It was more or less a joke - I've worked on Japanese metric bikes since I was 19 as a hobby.

I see several in the photos above that have what appear to be a radiator on them. That would imply a liquid cooling system.

Never would consider one of those worth buying. Just don't seem right.

All that don't make it right. Reasonable and proper yeah, but right, not so much.

Wait, Harley-Davidson actually sells motorcycles? I thought they were just a clothing brand. :)
