So, I've gotten pretty comfortable carrying the S&W 66 on my hip as of late. So much that I know it's there (How can you not. That sucker has a little weight to it.) but I really don't even think about it. So, today I run to Publix for my Mom and just minding my own business as usual. As I'm walking out, I happen to notice a CCPD officer walking up beside me. And also notice his car is right next to mine. No worries though. He's got a bag with him (I'm assuming it's his lunch.)
So here's how it goes.
Officer: You have a carry permit?
Me: Pardon?
Officer: Well... I kind of noticed the grip printing a little.
Me: Ohhhhh.... yeah. I do have license.
Officer: Good. What are you carrying?
Me: S&W 66.
Officer: Nice. I've got a 19 at home that was my Dad's service revolver.
Me: Cool.
Officer: Well, you have a good day.
Me: Thanks. You do the same.
Sorry. No pics or audio to back it up. But, I swear it really did play out that way. :righton:
