New and improved, under new management...

2005 Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom, I've put 94 of the 99000 miles on it since 08. I just did a 800 mile, two day trip up to Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campgrounds in NC.

I sometimes end up in some pretty interesting places...

I also have a 1997 Suzuki TL1000S that has been naked-ized. It's a hoot, but hell on rear tires.

Hahaha that's genius and funny
What decade was this?
This was the Run from Texas to Alaska 1976. I had to pull the photos out and scan them to post. I have some from the trip to Panama if I can find them.

My two "adventure" bikes. Kind of one extreme to the other, but both capable of providing plenty of adventure. I have a few friends with DL1000s. Very nice bikes. The BMW is an '05 R1200GS that I purchased in '08 with 17,000 miles. It's at 72K now and the '70 Honda CT-90 is showing about 8K. I've had it 3 or so years now. Really enjoying it although it has a flat rear tube at the moment.

Those were the two longest ones. Rode to every state in the Union except one. My scooter was a 1975 Harley Davidson 96'' stroker. Started out as a 74'' (1200cc). The other Hogs were winding out 4th on the top end when I shifted to 4th after winding out 3rd with a hopped up transmission. 160mph was an easy reach for it. From 1975 to 1980 I put 150,000 on it.

Ok, I'll play.

Here's mine, on the right, and the wife's bikes a couple years back on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I had that same bike... for a whole week...
I bought it brand new in June 2002, and put 1200 miles on it in a week. The dealer threw the first service in with the deal, so I dropped it off. I picked it up and made it 3 miles from home before a woman in a minivan... its ALWAYS a minivan... pulled out in front of me on her cell phone. Then she had the nerve to stick her head out the window, cell still to her ear, and ask if I wanted her to call 911...
Did you get rid of your Vulcan AzB?

Wow I don't think anyone would've blamed you for taking her cell phone and shoving it... somewhere.

It's a fun bike, sporty, comfy, super reliable. One of the most underrated bikes of all time.

You must be thinking of someone else. I've never owned a Vulcan.
06 Ultra, been to Rolling Thunder 3 trips, one of the best rides I've ever been on. I hope it last past this year.
