I met a fellow GlockTalker and picked up 420 rounds of various .40 S&W ammo for $35.

It's a mixture of a few boxes each of:
Blazer 180g TMJ
Blazer 180g Gold Dot JHP
Speer 165g Gold Dot JHP
Fiocchi 145g JHP
GrayAreaAmmo 180g TMJ

Sweet.

I need to make an ammo run. I'm thinking about waiting until this weekend to see what kinda deals are up at the show this weekend.

This Fiocchi ammo is sort of interesting.

First, it's 145 grain bullets:

Hmm, odd little hollow point:

Well, hey look at this case stamp:

dont expect any fantastic ammo deals at the show, last one I went to the internet was still vastly cheaper.

for instance a lot of dealers had 1k bricks of Wolf Classic Military 7.62x39 for $199 + tax.

I got mine for $160 delivered...

Seems you can't expect to find deals on anything at the shows anymore. Good shoppers can almost always find better deals online.

Nice pickup on the ammo!!!

They are up to $20 for .40 now?!

That is about a four dollar increase in less than a month. Surely, you are incorrect....

It's $16.99 at Bass Pro, but you have to check your weapon, etc. at the door.

And that stuff is just plain filthy.

Maybe you folks on the south side of the state have it better than we do. THe Bass Pro near me didn't have those kind of prices.

You make up for the difference with the trip to Savannah unless you buy lots of it. I may go to Bass Pro at Discover Mills this weekend, though.

Just got a flyer in the mail for Bass Pro 40S&W UMC 250 $57, also a $5 off coupon for sales over $50. Will be stopping soon to stock back up.

S&W M&P 40, $499.88.

Concealed means concealed.
I guess I always wondered if they had metal detectors or something like that.

I don't know why it never dawned on me that even if caught they could just ask me to leave.

Hopefully they wouldn't ban me, I like the store too much.

I got lucky at the show at the Gwinnett fair grounds a while back. NOBODY had any 7.62x39 for any price. There was a guy walking around with a Mauser and a SKS slung on his shoulder with a for sale sign. I got to talking with him and found that he had some ammo in his vehicle. I ended up buying 1800 rounds (some of which was on stripper clips) for $100 even.
