But I am Whometh!

Mind blow. Country Joe. Woodstock. 1969.
My gift to country joe.
Joe McDonald protested the Vietnam war through his songs, as did many singers and bands. But he also was very supportive of the veterans when they returned. He supported the Vietnam Veterans of America and the Veterans Administration.
Like the lyrics in the video I posted above, many of us despised the war but we supported our troops. Another war based on lies that enriched politicians and military suppliers and sent our friends and families home in body bags. Nothing's changed in decades.
I was not aware of that. Thank You for bringing that to my attention.
You're welcome. Most people aren't aware of that either. Joe was a Navy veteran and the issues he saw Viet vets struggling with (homelessness, social stigmatization, suicide, etc) bothered him, hence his support for them, especially the VA.
Final kicker and I'm done. Country Joe was responsible for getting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial built in what was fondly referred to back then as Ho Chi Minh Park in Berkeley, CA (anti-war central), where he lives.
Blaming soldiers for wars is like blaming firemen for fires. Dumb.
