Republican State Rep. David Agema from the Grand Rapids area has introduced legislation that would allow teachers and other school administrators to carry a concealed weapon on school grounds.

Agema says he understands this is a controversial piece of legislation. But he says kids need to be kept safe on school grounds.

Michigan repealed its ban on carrying concealed weapons during archery season not that long ago.

If we can't get 127.1 fixed for everyone, I'd at least like to see something like this done in GA, but I am biased for personal reasons.

HEAR HEAR!

It works for Israel, why not here? As we have witnessed, disarmed citizens = mass graves. Would the students at Columbine suffered as much had the shooters met resistance? Classic argument, but now somebody is finally listening!

One third of Principals in Michigan want to arm schools

That is more than ten times as high as I would have guessed. Maybe people are finally figuring out that disarming all of the competent adults leaves the school children vulnerable and at the mercy of any crazy attacker who comes along.

1/3, eh? Not too shabby. Needs to be 3/3, though.
Come on, these are school principals. I expected about 99% opposition.
