Well, even private sellers should be checking drivers licenses because I'm pretty damn sure you can't do an FTF handgun sale to someone out of state, no matter where you live.

So you cant sell handguns FTF to someone out of state? Is this a federal or state law? And what is the purpose of restricting private gun sales to out of state citizens?
I do believe that's federal law. You can sell long guns to people from different states, though.
I didn't think you could sell long guns out of state FTF either. Through a dealer, yea.
