When the bullets stopped flying, police said a man was shot once in the stomach and was in critical condition.
Chilomo told Petchenik he doesn't fear for his own safety, relying instead on a higher power.

is that magazine really long or is that just the way the video looks??
They look like a bunch of young thugs who needed jobs instead of trying to rob someone. Punks want to point a gun instead of getting it honest. I observed another one of those misconceptions though...it seems that gun had a hand attached to it. The anti-gunnies will be screaming a gun could have killed someone again. They might want to review the film and see if that weapon was floating in mid air of if he was really holding it. :screwy:
"My God is my protection. Before I come here, I kneel down. If my life is gone, it’s gone," Chilomo said.
I'm not saying faith isn't a good thing.... but this guy might want to look into the Church of Moses..... John Moses Browning....
If that thug had waved that pistol in the face of somebody trained in hand-to-hand combat and disarming techniques, the thug could have first lost control of the weapon, then had a bunch of bones broken in his gun hand and fingers bent in ways they were never meant to go, then had his jaw shattered and his windpipe crushed. All in about one second.

Too bad the thug didn't pick on somebody really good at quickdraw from concealment, such as the "Vincent" character played by Tom Cruise in "Collateral"

But instead, he picks on a poor guy who just wants to smoke a ciggy and follow instructions, and that guy gets shot in the gut.

This sounds like my husband. You described it almost to a science the way I pictured it if that had been him standing there with the gun toatin' punk.
Seeing stuff like that really puts things in perspective. That could happen to anybody. Random crime gives me the creeps. My mind is racing about how I may have handled that if it was me.
