Keep them from procreating and the gene pool might end up smarter.

Kinda like when there used to be ads on Craigslist for people selling dope. Either those were incredibly stupid idiots, or more likely, they were cops posing as dope dealers, hoping to bust buyers. I guess that wouldn't be considered entrapment.

No, it wouldn't be entrapment. Entrapment is when the cops, or people acting in cooperation with the cops (confidential informants, vigilantes) not only suggest that you commit a crime, but pressure you in ways that overcome your reluctance to do it.
No hesitation, no reluctance, no great pressure or coercion applied by the undercover agent = no "entrapment" as that term is used in criminal law.

That could even be Atlanta PD officers really selling on Craigslist. Then, if they get caught, they could claim it was an undercover operation.

And if the news found out about it, resign before they get fired.

I used to paddle whitewater kayaks with an APD cop. He didn't think very highly of his employer and told me a few troubling things about them.

“Sir, we busted the criminal with 9 kilos of crack!”

“Great job, officer. You brought in 5 kilos of crack!”

“Yes, sir! 2 whole kilos of crack off the street!”
