Is an M2 semi auto an NFA item?
I don't think so, they sell a field version for hunting.
If you are talking about an M2 carbine absolutely.
Even if it has a semi-auto parts kit in it.
This is right off the ATF website:
I knew I should have asked what M2 he was referring to.
I am assuming he means "Ma Deuce" -- the 50 caliber BMG shooting behemoth that uses linked ammo belts.
if it has a semi auto only receiver (and was not manufactured on a true full auto receiver, including any reconstructed DWAT) then it should be just another semi automatic rifle in 50 caliber.
Buy it sell it or trade it just as if it were a semi auto .22 rimfire!
No it's like an M1 Carbine but the receiver is stamped M2.
Then it is fo sho an NFA item.
