For my 1911
To put it in to ship it to me?
If so, I can send you a case and $100 for postage and all that stuff.
No it’s a keeper
MTM cases are cheap, simple, and will be more reliable than a 1911. Snap closed every time. They are made of plastic though. I think I saw some used ones at cherokee or adventure outdoors for less than 10.00.
I saw the 1911 part. That why I gave you such a good deal.
More reliable than a 1911, it will go snap every time?
That's an excellent point regarding the 1911. While modern pistols certainly are more reliable than older ones, find the ammo that your 1911 will absolutely devour and go bang every time, and only use that ammo for your self-defense rounds.
BTW, this is my 10,000th post on GPDO.
Congrats on the 10k post. My 1911 likes magnus 185's under 3.8 grains of bullseye.
EDITED: That is 25 yards strong hand only.
I feel funny even putting that out there. I know glock shooters are thinking "what's the big deal?" I dread the day they turn up at a Bullseye match. All the 1911 guys will just have to bow their heads and go home I guess.
I don't know how much you want to spend or what the intended use is but have a look at these Pelican cases.
1911 reliability issue? Hmmm - sounds like user error. I pull the trigger on my 1911 pistols and they go bang.
The Glock boys may have to hang their heads over 1911 accuracy.
Watch out you don't run over Phil. He may be round that bend you just navigated.
It's all good. I love the 1911, my all steel double-stacks, and my Glock and other plastic-fantastic toys. I guess I'm gender-firearm fluid.
I dunno. The plastic guns (which I gave up at age 10) sure indicate you might not have yet made it back from the other side of the bend.
I'm tryin', Nemo. Sometimes that's all a man can do.
Dunno if you have a Sam's membership. They have a really nice pelican style knock off case that's perfect size for a pistol, mags and ammo etc
Harbor freight has similar cases
I know they all do because I've read the same thing on every gun board I've run across. I've been trying to tell the people at the matches that they just need to eliminate the alibi rule and just penalize the shooter. They laugh at me. I don't understand.
If you can't find a case you like here they don't make it.
Thanks for the link!
