I thought I would through this out in case someone is 1911 shopping. I was at Bullseye in Cumming this afternoon and they have two decent deals in the case. There is a NIB RIA 1911 for $399.99. There's also a used, but like new Springfield GI model for $499.99.

That depends if you have no money and a wife, or money and no wife.

Having a wife and money are mutually exclusive, no?

Is it the Springfield that has US on it.If it is then I thought it was brand new thats what I think Jason told me at Bullseye.Jason has a Springfield that he used the frame and made a custom 1911 which is so sexy  .

5 hundo is on the verge of steep for a Springer GI unless it was barely fired and has neglible wear on it. I'm assuming its the regular 5" service model also. Jason yes the Springfield GI models are the ones with the US grips, although I like those better than the MilSpec grips (which have a SA logo on it). I might get a set of those US grips for my milspec.... hmm

4 hundo for the RIA is not so bad, of course you have to pay tax around here, ugggggh. you can land one off gunbroker for about $400 in your hand.

Yeah... Big Woods Goods has a NIB RIA 1911, black w/ brown grips, for $377.00 in the store.

But I think $500 for the GI is market rate if it is barely used.
