My personal theme song.... Mike and The Mechanics - Silent Running http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KL_fgWgK40 Take the children and yourself And hide out in the cellar By now the fighting will be close at hand Don't believe the church and state And everything they tell you Believe in me, I'm with the high command
With the exception of Christina Aguilera, your playlist looks a lot like mine. And here I thought I was all alone with my Iron Maiden... Since you've got JC performing Hurt, you might want to check out Unchained. His version of Rusy Cage is a must-have. Also, look for a couple of Metallica radio bootlegs, Last Caress and Four Horsemen (live w/ John Popper & Les Claypool). Good stuff! Add some Primus to that list. If you're not a Primus fan yet, Suck On This is a great place to start (live album, kinda short but it's an excellent selection). I'd also add a great over tune, "Gin & Juice" by the Gourds.
You got Iron Maiden... ...and 99 Luft Balloons? Every other song ever recorded fits in the middle of those two choices! What can't you add?
Hey now, don't be dissin' Nina, the song is a little different in the original German version before it was bubblegummed for the American market. Nina occupies a place of honor in my cd player, right alongside Enigma.
Correction: it's actually titled "You Never Even Call Me By My Name". My mistake. But it's still the perfect country and western song. A must for any collection.
