Loaded Gun Slips Past TSA Screeners

Last fall, as he had done hundreds of times, Iranian-American businessman Farid Seif passed through security at a Houston airport and boarded an international flight.

He didn't realize he had forgotten to remove the loaded snub nose "baby" Glock pistol from his computer bag. But TSA officers never noticed as his bag glided along the belt and was x-rayed. When he got to his hotel after the three-hour flight, he was shocked to discover the gun traveled unnoticed from Houston.

"It's just impossible to miss it, you know. I mean, this is not a small gun," Seif told ABC News. "How can you miss it? You cannot miss it..."

Maybe if the TSA wasn't so busy looking at naked pictures and groping passengers they might have noticed the "loaded snub nose "baby" Glock pistol" in Mr. Seif's computer bag.
If the statistics in that story are remotely accurate, the TSA's screening is more of a joke than most of us here believe it to be.

So what does he do, call the news?

And what does he do now?
Loose lips sink ships. If I ever had a memory lapse and wound up somehow carrying a gun on a plane, after getting to my destination and discovering it, the incident would be immediately forgotten.
Wonder what he did with it on his return flight home?
Some people can't keep their mouth shut. He'll be on everyone's watchlist now, even at Disney.
If nothing else, it shows that no matter how much security we go through, weapons can still get through, even a gun.

We can give away every single right that we have, and it will not be enough to make us safe.

If this happened to me, I would have never ever said one word about it. That is for sure.

Kind of makes you wonder just how many people did keep their mouth shut doesn't it?
Why in the world would you call a network like anti gun ABC? This guy wanted on a watch list :screwy:

Doesn't it make you wonder why he went straight to the media? Hmmm? Just sayin.
Yeah I would have kept that to myself. Wonder if they will charge him?
It's great that all the billions of tax $ and trampling of the civil liberties guaranteed in the Constitution have really worked out in the publics favor. Way to go to the US federal government :screwy:
He claimed he got a gun by security, and then it becomes a story. I claim it didn't happen.

A failure rate of 70% sounds like harassment for the sake of harassment.
