"We need stronger gun laws in this country. Sometimes we must be a little less free on order to be safe."

In response to critics of Street's advocacy of stronger gun laws, the mayor used the analogy of airport security. With the long waiting lines and numerous new regulations, citizens are a little less free, Street explained, but this is a necessary sacrifice for safety. Street stated that a similar sacrifice must be made as regards second amendment rights.

Of course, the Methodist Church was represented. They even donated the meeting room.

I read this article and just cant believe, nor will I ever, that people like this were ever born in this country. Our founding fathers have to be rolling in the graves!
