    But how do you install the slide stop without scratching the pistol (as the pistol in the picture appears to be scratched).

    Ok. Enclosed are 4 images labled with a number order.

    In image #1 you can see how the slide stop on my Raptor has a rounded edge to the top and back side (i've darkened the area around it for better contrast).

    In image #2 you can see how I have inserted the slide stop into the frame and placed the rounded edge against the lower side of the plunger spring.

    In image #3 I am trying (trying) to illustrate how in one motion I push, with my thumb, the slide stop up-and-in so that it pushes the plunger spring back/in and then the slide stop will move right into its place.

    In image #4 you can see: no scratch.

    Thanks for the info, I will have to try that. I have a little scracth on mine now but not as bad as the ones in that link.

    I believe scratches of that sort are called idiot marks ;)
