I have it from a reliable source that there is a debate planned on Sept 19th at the Kennesaw Community Center. The two candidates will be none other than the existing mayor Leonard Church and city councelman Mark Mathews. Both these candidates have made public comments regarding the recent issue with the guns in city parks that could be viewed as "anti-gun". These two candidates have said that they would pursue changing state legislation to allow city's/county's to make their own local laws. I'd like to see if I can get some support for this debate. The format will be questions will be gathered from the audience, they will be reviewed by a moderator, and presented to both candidates. I was also told that most, if not all the city councelmen (women) plan to be there as well. This would be a great opportunity to show that GCO is more then just a group that "....doesn't have anything better to do than endanger our kids".

Not that I'm aware of, I'm a little disappointed in Mathews, I know someone who knows him and spoke favorably of him. On his bio it lists him as a hunter. However, he appears to be in lock-step with Church. Maybe we can convince him the error in his thinking, after all, politians have been known to change their minds :roll: .
