Don't do it!

"It's disturbing that there are people with full-carry permits, walking around with loaded guns, who have never had to justify why they need a full-carry license,'' Schwartz said recently. "There has to be a standard - your life has been threatened, you're a retired cop who's put a lot of people in jail - something along those lines. The idea that you need to carry a gun because you hope to open a pharmacy some day is preposterous. This is not about keeping law-abiding citizens from getting guns. It's about public safety. It's about making sure that the procedures in place are carried out properly and intelligently.''
After seeing what happens in Georgia, the only state that has judges in charge of license issuing, why in the hell would any other place want to do the same thing?

Many of the county's requirements for amending a pistol permit have no basis in law, Murphy said, describing a Pistol License Information Handbook published by county police that outlines the county's permit-application process as "fatuous twaddle that is calculated to intimidate and set traps for unwary pistol license applicants."

"They're trying to discourage people from exercising their rights by making it as complicated as it can be," Murphy said.

"If I'm phobic about speed, I just can't go out and post 15 miles- per-hour speed-limit signs on all the parkways to enhance public safety,'' Murphy said.
