University of Pennsylvania transgender swimmer Lia Thomas was defeated Saturday by fellow trans Ivy Leaguer, Yalie Iszac Henig, who is transitioning from female to male.
Henig wrote: “As a student-athlete, coming out as a trans guy put me in a weird position. I could start hormones to align more with myself, or wait, transition socially and keep competing on a women’s swim team. I decided on the latter.”
I don't think both combined could come up with a tea cup full of brains. Much less a bucket. If this is going to continue with the trans community they should compete in their own separate class of people. Not in women's or men's events but in trans events. That is the only place where it would be fair to all other contestants.
