Oh, I know, the children are simply too important to wait for a merit stages brief, we'll send our tripe in early - after all, it's for the children. And oh yes, the beautiful opinion of Judge Laurence Silbermann (who, BTW, was the mentor of Clarence Thomas), the skillful writings of Supreme Court practitioners like Gura and Goldstein, and the first impression question on an article of the Bill of Rights may not be enough to get them to take a case, but once they know it's for the children, well then they'll take it for sure.
