All other things being equal, you are.
well i guess paulding cops don't know that I had one take my gun from me and try to charge me with carrying with no holster took me 14 days to get my gun back.and then they told me again it was illegal to carry with no holster in paulding county I informed them of SB 308 and one told me he read it and it is still not allowed

How did this happen? Post it here?

As a side note... I have found that it is very useful to use the full text of SB308/AP
from the General Assembly website. It actually shows the text that was stricken from
the code - rather than looking at the code (pocket press or LexisNexis) where the code
section simply doesn't appear.
I can't put it on here due to the fact i have to go to court for the reason i got stopped so after it is over i will post it or you can pm me

It is legal to carry without a holster, but that doesn't mean it won't stop you from taking a ride with the LEO...
The better question is what law could they charge you with (don't bother looking because it isn't there)?

The law doesn't say "you may now carry without a holster" it just removed the requirement that you must carry with a holster.
Not if you ask the guy at 400 J & P. I don't think he appreciated me trying to help him with the law.

Fortunately, someone else working there knew about the change within SB 308. Paulding Co. is wrong. With respect to a government employee getting something wrong - meh. what's new?

Sorry, I hope all goes well for you. I will give you the same advice everybody gives in this situation - having an attorney in court is as important as having a gun when being attacked.
This Code section shall not permit, outside of his or her home, motor vehicle, or place of business, the concealed carrying of a pistol, revolver, or concealable firearm by any person unless that person has on his or her person a valid license issued under Code Section 16-11-129 and the pistol, revolver, or firearm may only be carried in a shoulder holster, waist belt holster, any other holster, hipgrip, or any other similar device, in which event the weapon may be concealed by the person's clothing, or a handbag, purse, attache case, briefcase, or other closed container.
all that was scratched out in SB 308, those were the only references to "holster" in SB 308
