I'v been having some uncomfortable dreams lately. When the BG breaks in, I pull weapon but I can't squeeze the trigger. Has anyone else had these type of dreams before?

yes i have had them either the trigger wouldn't work or I just get a click.
Had the dream where I was getting ready to shoot the bg and when I pull the trigger the bulletts fall out of the barrell without any velocity. It never ends well for me.
Twice in the last several years I had a dream where I had to shoot a bad guy, but the bullets were ineffective.
At least a few seconds after I put a couple rounds on him center of mass, he was still coming at me and still a threat.
I don't recall how it ended.
But I do know that when I woke up, I was ready to put away my mouseguns and the pocket pistol and start carrying a gun that had a "4" in the caliber and the word "magnum" stamped on the barrel. (Shades of Dirty Harry!)
I shot 16 under last night.
Yes! They're awful! Usually I have a jam I can't clear, although once I couldn't pull the trigger.
I usually see it as a good thing in reality if I can't squeeze the trigger in my dream. I sleep with 2 guns on the night stand and it wouldn't surprise me if I am acting them out in my sleep and my subconscious is preventing me from ACTUALLY pulling the trigger. Scary...
I've had similar dreams.
i have had dreams such as this but mine was befor i got my handgun. i was stuck fighting with what ever i could get my hands on or left on the raw end of the deal. the dreams went away befor i was able to get my firearm but the havent returned. now i dream about trucks.... guess i need to get one
The only firearm related dream I had was a long time ago. I dreamed that I was at Six Flags (go figure  ) in line for the Dahlonega Mine Train and someone pulled out a short-barreled shotgun. When he pointed it at me I turned and ran. He fired. And, just as I was hit in the back, I woke up as my 17 lb cat landed in the middle of my back. Scared the :censored: outta me.
No, it's not just you. I've had those dreams before where the cartridges are fudds but I've also had dreams where the bad guys got the business in full technicolor.

I've also taken incoming rounds in dreams that have left me with temporary sensations of pain after waking up.
In most of my dreams, i never fire a shot, but when i need to the trigger pull is around 75 lbs. Causes me to miss my target. There was a thread about this awhile back that discussed the same thing
Paranoid people,,,,,,,,,,, I keep finding money, when I wake up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I'm still broke LOL
Every time i either miss, cant pull the trigger, or the bullets just dont do anything.

And whenever i have to fight in a dream i either cant punch at all or punch with the force of a feather in the breeze.
Nah, never had such a dream. Everytime I shoot the BG, the threat is stopped and he or multiple assailants die.
those dreams quit when I traded my 1911 for a Sig
goes bang every time
Ive had them, too.

First couple if guns I had were both da/sa. FEG PA63 and SIG P220. Big change from the .22s and light triggered rifles I grew up on. I'd always have the impossibly heavy trigger dreams after going to the range.

Occassionaly I'll have the bulletproof badguy dream, also, although I'm not aware of any specific trigger. Sometimes I see a hit but they just don't go down, but most of the time I find myself asking "how did I miss from this close?"

Strange, but it's nice to see I'm not alone.
My recurring dream is that I can not pull the trigger because the trigger weight is something like a hundred pounds or so. And then when I finally manage to get the hammer to drop the bullet flies so slow that the bad guy just steps out of its way.

My father tells me his version of this dream is he is blowing great big holes in them but they don't fall down.

Have you ever suggested to him that he aim for the head? It's the only way to kill some zombies....
