I haven't watched a ton of Inforwars. Nor am I really an Infowars fan. This was always a choice I made, a choice to tune-in and watch other news sources that I liked better and found to be more accurate than Infowars. It was my choice to do this. It was my choice all along. That all changed today. Powerful deciders in multi-billion-dollar corporations, today, made that choice for me. It was made without my consent and without my consultation as if I was a child in need of guidance from harmful and hazardous material. It's simple really, I and millions of grown adults around the world now have no decision to make. The decision has been made for us. Our consumption of information will, from now on, be carefully shepherded to us in approved, curated form. Who are we to decide what information we should or should not consume? We are too unsophisticated and unintelligent to make those decisions for ourselves. Those decisions must be left to and made by the new power elite. After all, we may end up hurting ourselves or others should we be left with the choice to decide what media we consume. No, they know best. We should trust them.

Wasn't "Infowars" a wacko conspiracy fringe site that had more lies than "news"?
Didn't they say that the guy who uploaded video of a right-winger ramming a crowd of left-wingers, killing one innocent person, was a CIA plant doing a "false flag" mission to discredit the Right? As if his video recording were somehow impugned and discredited because a lefty Democrat / Socialist recorded it.

I think liars and loony propagandists should be denied the use of all private forums.

Heck, I think that somebody who uses their telephone to harass others should have their service cut off by the phone company or their mobile provider.

If you want to abandon all sense of decency and go all-out in a disinformation campaign against anyone who doesn't agree with your politics (or religion, or whatever), you should be blacklisted and should have to resort to waving a hand-lettered cardboard sign in the park across from City Hall.

Are you talking about Infowars, or CNN?

This is not about "disinformation". To the "progressive" left, any dissenting opinion or fact is "disinformation". If this continues, we should expect more rational, reasonable, fact-based conservative content to be deleted, too.

For example, how many times has Hickok45's youtube channel been deleted? Two? Three? That's why his content is also on full30 now (but reaching far less viewers there than on youtube).

The uniform actions of the Masters of the Universe and their sudden implementation could well be used as evidence of a conspiracy to silence voices they don't like. Just sayin'.

This was a topic on Breibart this morning. Seems to me that folks should just not use it if they don’t like the social media. Maybe start another platform more in line with their worldview.

Agreed. I have no use for InfoWars or Alex Jones. There is far too much misinformation to parse through to see if there is anything useful.

With that said, I'm still concerned about all/most of the social media platforms getting together and banning him. Sure, they are private businesses and can do what they see fit within the bounds of the law and the first amendment doesn't really apply to them deleting/denying InfoWars content. And, obviously, the InfoWars website can still run (assuming it isn't on Amazon or someone else's servers that shut him down).

The issue I see is that by being denied a voice by the major social media platforms, InfoWars information (regardless of its perceived value) is effectively silenced as it is drowned out by others that the social media companies do allow to use their platform. It now isn't the government or society that is silencing InfoWars, but rather decision makers at a handful of companies (don't forget that Facebook owns Instagram, Google owns Gmail and YouTube, etc.).

Who do these companies ban next? As a business owner that sells outdoor camping/bushcrafting gear with a focus on Bushcrafting knives, I'm prohibited from advertising on Facebook, Instagram, Google AdWords, OutBrain, etc. because I sell "dangerous weapons". It is their business and they are well within their rights to deny my advertising, but it makes it extremely difficult to reach customers online (for an online business nonetheless) when a handful of companies decide they don't like your business.

If I don't like something on TV, I change the channel. If someone on a forum says things that I find objectionable, offensive, foul ... I ignore them.

On that Breitbart show this morning someone actually used the term "right to be heard" I thought I was listening to MSNBC or CNN or something...where the hell did that phrase come from?

Trump should appoint Alex Jones for SC Justice. I can guarantee as crazy as he is, he will protect the 1st and 2nd amendments - on the plus side, even more Marxist Socialists will melt down.
