After watching our politicians/leaders/representatives on TV for the past few years, we are damn lucky they have not got us nuked or sent the economy into an unrecoverable crash.

I suppose for some folks this is also good news to be very thankful for: NO ONE EVER GOES TO JAIL

there's still time... :runaway:
The only reason we haven't been seriously attacked is some of our technology, but others it also shows the patience of many of the countries in the rest of the world that they haven't attacked us is much meddling and bombs we drop and civilians that we kill even though we say we try not to have any collateral damage.

I've been saying this for years.

The only reason that our economy is a strong as it is is a bunch of unrelenting capitalists out there working hard to work for the sake of so many others.

Perhaps we should offer thanks to cooler heads on the other side? Also, offer your thanks that Clinton didn't get crowned.

... or sent the economy into an unrecoverable crash.
Any crash is recoverable but the new normal may take some very difficult getting used to. And a crash is coming - which will be blamed on Trump of course even though it's been in the works for years prior to his administration. An unsupported 21,000 Dow? Ginormous amounts of government, corporate and personal debt? Simple arithmetic says it can't be sustained.

As codegeek said...............
Don't forget, the military industrial complex is keeping tax dollars flowing to all types of businesses.

that's true for folks in a certain class of people. but the rest provide the largest prison population per capita on the planet.

and as for the economy, others have already alluded to the coming crash. it can't not happen. it's just a matter of when. i fear that even then folks will scramble to recreate the very same situation that caused it.
Anytime you try and Centrally plan an economy the economy will eventually fail because government cannot properly set Market values. And when that crash does finally come you can surely bet it will be wholly and completely blamed on the free market, not the truth of it which is a government command economy corporatism and a mix of socialism and Marxism. Heck by that point we may be looking at full on communism.
you can't have a government without it affecting the economy/market in some way. so with a government, there's always an element of central planning if you wade through the bull****.

central banking, however, is a different animal. it's a whole additional layer of retarded. governments/countries might be able to last somewhat indefinitely if they only skimmed a little via the first. but, they cannot help themselves with their SOP of power/wealth grabbing, and always go for the second. there are only a handful of countries left without them (and most are owned/controlled by an infamous family(ies)).

central banking, and their printing of money out of thin air is what creates the boom/bust cycles that lead to eventual economic collapse.
