I wish to have the ownership of a weapon transferred to me from a TN resident. I am a GA resident so what do I need to do to make this happen?

I may be wrong, but It would have to go through an FFL. Also, Welcome fellow Troy Trojan!!

The owner of the firearm would have to send it to an FFL holder in GA. At which time you pick it up you will have to complete a background check and paperwork.

If you have your GWCL you skip the background check part and just do the paperwork for the dealer's records.

The TN resident can drive the firearm into GA and meet you at a FFL for the transfer as well.

yep, as long as it's a Georgia FFL dealer that receives it and then turns around and transfers it to the Georgia customer who will get it.
I've driven a gun to SC before and met the buyer at his local South Carolina gun shop.
