    An interesting tidbit, it adds about 300-400lbs of paint (when dry) to an airplane that size.

    Close. When I worked for AA as a pilot they always told us in ground school that the reason the keep their planes silver (no paint except the AA and red, white and blue stripes) is to save weight. They said the average they saved on a 767 is about 600lbs. That's a Boeing 747-400... I'm sure it's more like 8-900 pounds. Its a lot of paint. I've spent a lot of time in the Delta TOC (tech ops center) hangers at ATL and they've given me the same numbers. It's really neat how they do that. I'm fascinated by work like that.

    If the TSA didn't molester every single one of those people at least once an hour then it's a security risk. Why, one of those folks could have loosened a screw or something. Irradiating and groping their genitals once an hour is the only way to make sure that plane never crashes.
