25,000? 50K? more?
Are there any official numbers on these things?
250,000 to 300,000.
Here is 2006
59,650 statewide in one year (2006- reported from 2005 numbers).
They are good for 5 years.
The number goes up every year . . .
Caveat - the footnotes indicate some of the counties may not have reported and that some of the counties gave incomplete reports (i.e., for one, two, or three quarters), but this should not change the numbers much.
What I found funny was that there were significantly more firearms licenses issued in my county (Walton) than there were marriage licenses. Almost double the number.
yep mine too (carroll)
Mine, too (Coweta).
Houston as well
Not me 548 marriage to 316 GFL. (Bulloch)
Fulton sucks, of course: 5079 to 3872.
Forsyth 902 marriage and 1112 GFLs !!! Gwinnett leads the count at 4472. That's 12+ per day, for 365 days.
And yet Gwinnett seems to be able to timely issue, according to recent reports here.
Waiting... waiting... waiting...
Chatham county sucks.
Don't forget that includes renewals!
Right, if you guesstimate that 60,000 new and renewals a year for 5 years then you get 300,000.
Could be a little lower, could be a little higher. Without better reporting of totals that is about the best guess we are going to get.
How long now?
Not too long... yet...
About a month.
Wouldn't it be nice to see this many members of GCO?
Give it some time. It hasn't been a year yet and we've got some great growth already!
