Let's resurrect Omar Bradley... remember when America's generals actually fought communists and anarchists? His role in crushing a socialists uprising out west during WWI is overshadowed by his brilliant WWII career. I'm generally against use of military in this way, but at what point is the "peaceful protest" against western civilization rightly seen as insurrection and organized rebellion?

Not sure what you are getting at. I was getting at the fact that Trump's military thumbed it's nose at him and he let it go - no response to insubordination from America's Commander in Chief. I referenced it in HJB's John Bolton thread. Pasted below as reference

All that may be - but what more does it say about Trump's judgement to appoint yet another person working against him into his inner circle.

Agitators that took over government property in D.C. the 1930s were tolerated for quite a while, but eventually when the stalemate got on everyone's nerves long enough the government rolled in and drove them out.

Chased them at bayonet point, burnt their shelters & tents, threw away all their possessions, and scattered them at the point of guns and with tanks backing the soldiers up.

This military response to an anti-American civilian public disturbance on federal property was headed personally in the field hands-on by General Douglas MacArthur --himself a veteran of the Great War (WW I) like so many of the protesters were.

No, they weren't armed. Because the National Guard were never there. Lafayette Park was cleared out by the US Park Police with, maybe, some help from the Secret Service. There was no military involved.

So there were National Guard troops in DC, and I believe they are armed. Maybe not at the church but I think they were protecting the fence line at that location. I believe several of them subsequently turned up positive for the Chinese virus after that too.

You made a specific comment about a specific incident that happened on June 1. NG may or may not have been in DC on June 1 but there was no military involvement in clearing Lafayette Park that night. None. Read the article again. Highlighting something doesn't change the facts of the matter. You're welcome to prove me wrong. And that was a pretty shitty attempt at deflection.
