Of course, one wonders if the Supreme Court really wants to get mixed up in yet another contentious issue in American political life.

Um... Mr. Cornell? Is it not true that the court system has always been the vehicle of social change?

Doesn't every case SCOTUS hears fall into the category of contentious issues in American political life?

I will be shocked if the Court does not take this one.
