One thing I have never heard covered anywhere with mandated employer provided health care is how someone who works for 2 or 3 companies at the same time, each of which will be required to provide coverage, is going to be effected. It seems like it will be recipe for ridiculous over coverage. Could such an employee opt out of the employer coverage and take the extra money instead?

Yes you would be over covered, but group health insurance requires 100% of employees to be covered so your employer is paying whether you use it or not. I'm covered by my wife's company and not mine I wish I could get that added to my check.
